Marriott Residence Inn Montreal-Westmount

Le Groupe Iber’s first Montreal transaction, and its introduction to the Montreal region, began here with the purchase in 1993 of this property, formerly Hotel Le Riche Bourg. Le Riche Bourg was originally an apartment building accommodating long-term tenants, but was later converted into an apartment-style hotel.

Located in a safe residential area in the downtown core and bordering Montreal’s tony Westmount neighbourhood, the hotel is situated on Lincoln Avenue. The hotel looks onto the prestigious Haddon Hall complex – a beautiful two-block property bound by Lincoln & Sherbrooke streets. Lincoln Avenue is one of downtown Montreal’s most peaceful side streets running 10 short blocks between Atwater & Guy.

The first phase of hotel renovations took place in 1995 when the hotel’s interior corridors and elevators were remodeled to bring much needed life & vitality back into the property.

The property quickly became a favourite of group tours, families, and other tourists (especially European visitors), as well as business travelers who enjoy its quiet and peaceful ambiance.

The rooftop facilities, with pool, breakfast room and meeting rooms, offers an extraordinary panoramic view.

In 2003, in association with Marriott International, Inc, Le Riche Bourg was re-branded the Marriott Residence Inn Westmount-Montreal – a decision that put the hotel on the map and generated substantial improvement to revenue performance. As part of the re-branding, the hotel was again completely renovated. Today, the Residence Inn is a favourite among high-scale corporate travelers, designed as a “home away from home” for travelers staying five or more nights. The hotel offers a residential atmosphere with spacious accommodations, many high-end services, sumptuously-designed lobby and recently-renovated breakfast room.
